Our

Mission

Our mission is to bring contemporary physiotherapy to you, in the comfort and convenience of your own home.

We strive to provide the highest quality physiotherapy service for people from all walks of life, from the inspiring survivors of illness and trauma to the weekend warriors and elite athletes.

Our practice is informed by established and emerging research and we strive to bring this knowledge to the benefit of our clients.

We know how important both relief from pain and ease of movement is for optimal wellness and quality of life, not just for you but also for those with whom you share your life - your family, your friends, your dog. Our mission is to help you get back on track when injury and illness disrupt your life

Your wellbeing and quality of life matters to you and to your loved ones – and it matters to us as well. We treat you and your loved ones with the same dedicated care and attention that we would provide to our own selves and loved ones.

Our Philosophy

Innovative community based care - we value our local community and aim to provide an excellent healthcare service to benefit our community members. We don’t believe you should have to travel beyond your front gate to access great health care. We don’t believe your physiotherapy journey needs to take place in a cubicle (we don’t like cubicles either!). Physio on your deck, in your garden, at your office, gym or local swimming pool - why not? Group exercise classes with your family, friends and neighbours in the comfort of your own home or garden or pool - why not make recovery, rehabilitation and fitness fun?!

Time for optimal healthcare - with experience of working in a wide variety of healthcare settings - from 20 minute consults in private practice to hour long consults in the not for profit hospital outpatient department setting, we have learnt that optimal care takes time. Time invested early in the physiotherapy journey will save you time and money later on. We generally allow an hour for our initial consults and 45 minutes for follow up sessions. This allows us time to get to know you, understand your problems and issues fully and allow us time to come up with and implement an effective plan of action to achieve your goals. If you think you need more time - let us know and we will work out a plan to accommodate your individual needs.

Collaborative care - we love teamwork! We see you as a person surrounded by a healthcare team, as well as your friends and family. We are happy to communicate our findings, plans and progress with your G.P., surgeon, medical specialist, personal trainer, coach or allied healthcare provider. Multi-disciplinary team work is very important and collaborative health care is the foundation of optimal health care.

Evidenced based care - we love to keep informed about established and emerging research which informs and guides our practice. We also like to talk about it, and if you will listen, we will share our knowledge with you so that you understand what is happening in your body and how best to manage your health and be well again. We also like to write about the emerging research - check out our blog for more information.

We strive to provide excellent and inclusive care to our community members - all cultures and backgrounds, all ages and all abilities. We enjoy all sorts of folk and appreciate everyone’s individuality and uniqueness.

Most of all, we want to empower you, to live a fulfilled, enjoyable and adventurous life. Physiotherapy to help you move well, feel well and live well.

Our Commitment

Compassion, Empathy & Respect

These three values guide all of our interactions with you and your loved ones.

Collaboration

As physiotherapists with a Bachelor degree in Science, we identify as being a key part of your health care team and commit to communicating and collaborating with the other health care professionals in whom you have placed your trust – whether that is your G.P., surgeon, podiatrist, psychologist, coach or personal trainer. We know when to refer on to another health care provider if your needs fall outside of our scope of practice.

Excellence

We committed to excellence when we signed up for a career in Physiotherapy. We commit to continue on our journey of life long learning and to ensuring that you and your loved ones benefit from this knowledge. If we can’t satisfactorily answer one of your questions - we will follow up and get that information for you. If we are not the right health care provider to meet your needs, we will refer you to a more suitable healthcare professional.

Research focused

We commit to research. To reading emerging research, to critically apprising research, to attending and presenting at national and international research conferences - and sharing our learning with you, so that you and your loved ones benefit from our constantly growing knowledge base.
